Jeremiah La’Porte is the Founder and President of the House of Hearts Network Foundation, dedicated to creating pathways for the next generation of leaders to learn, lead, and make an impact. Since establishing the Foundation in 2023, he has built a statewide organization focused on higher education access, youth leadership and civic engagement, health and wellness, and workforce development.

His experience spans the United States House of Representatives, the U.S. Department of State, and the New Jersey Governor’s Office, alongside service as a youth engagement advisor in the New Jersey Department of Children and Families Commissioner’s Office. A two-time published author and guest lecturer at Princeton University and Seton Hall Law, Jeremiah brings experience across government, public policy, and institutional leadership.

Under his leadership, House of Hearts has developed impactful statewide programming, including Breaking Barriers, which has engaged nearly 300 students since 2023; the Civics Debrief Tour, reaching more than 27 school districts; the Future Leaders Fellowship Program, providing young adults ages 18–25 with executive leadership training, professional development, civic education, and public speaking experience; and Youth Forward, connecting communities with resources through clinics across Union, Essex, and Hudson counties. The Foundation also operates the Women’s Health & Leadership Fund and Men’s Mental Health & Leadership Fund, advancing wellness, leadership, and community support.

Jeremiah has cultivated an extensive network of institutional, government, educational, and community partnerships, bringing together more than 30 state and local organizations and facilitating collaborations with more than 10 school districts and government agencies. These partnerships include Kean University, Princeton University, the Union County Board of County Commissioners, the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender, and local school districts and municipal leaders, supporting youth development, civic education, professional growth, and access to community resources.

At the core of House of Hearts is Jeremiah’s belief that young people should not have to wait for their turn to lead. They deserve opportunities, mentorship, and a seat at the table today. Through the Foundation, he is building platforms that connect emerging leaders with decision-makers, institutions, and meaningful opportunities to shape their communities. His work reflects the Foundation’s mission: creating a platform built to inspire change.
