2026 Board Leadership
Sean Isaac Conway serves as the II Chairperson of the House of Hearts Network Foundation Board of Trustees. His service to the Foundation began in 2024, when he was appointed Interim Chairperson, and he was subsequently elected to a full term serving from 2025 through 2027.
Under Chair Conway’s leadership, the Board of Trustees has advanced a series of annual organizational agendas focused on strengthening the Foundation’s programming and community impact. The Board’s 2025 agenda, “Channeling Creativity Through Arts & Athletics,” focused on expanding opportunities for creativity, athletics, youth engagement, and leadership development. The Board’s 2026 agenda, “Pathways to Health & Justice,” has focused on advancing initiatives surrounding health, wellness, justice, equity, and access to opportunity.
During Chair Conway’s tenure, the Foundation launched the Women’s Health & Leadership Fund and the Men’s Mental Health & Leadership Fund, while strengthening Board operations and supporting the continued growth and expansion of Foundation programming.
The Foundation has also launched five statewide annual initiatives during his tenure, bringing more than 30 state and local partners and organizations to the table. The Board has additionally helped facilitate partnerships with more than 10 school districts and government agencies, expanding the Foundation’s reach and collaborative impact across the state.
Chair Conway is currently an undergraduate student at Kean University and plans to begin medical school in Fall 2027.

Vice Chairperson of the Board
Johanna Garcia serves as Vice Chairperson of the House of Hearts Network Foundation Board of Trustees, Co-Chair of the Fellowship Program, Co-Chair of the Women’s Health & Leadership Fund, and Chair of the Fiscal Committee. A public school educator, Johanna brings her experience in education and youth development to her leadership within the Foundation.
Johanna was appointed to the Board of Trustees in June 2026 and was subsequently elected by her fellow Trustees in September 2026 to serve an extended term through 2029, filling a vacancy on the Board. Since joining the Board, she has taken on a growing leadership role in the Foundation’s governance, programming, and strategic initiatives.
Her “Young Women Taking Charge” initiative has helped shape the Foundation’s expanding focus on young women’s leadership, health, education, and opportunity. The initiative has led to the development of the Foundation’s inaugural Young Women’s Leadership Summit, scheduled for March 2027, creating a dedicated platform for young women to connect with leaders, develop their skills, and engage in civic and professional opportunities.
Under Johanna’s leadership, the Foundation has also advanced the expansion of its Women’s Health & Leadership Fund and launched a Young Women’s Scholarship as part of the President’s Scholar Program, creating additional pathways for young women to pursue educational and leadership opportunities.
As Vice Chairperson and Chair of the Fiscal Committee, Johanna contributes to the Foundation’s governance, financial oversight, strategic planning, and organizational development. Her work as an educator and Foundation leader reflects a commitment to investing in young people and ensuring that the next generation has the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to lead.
